The popularity of netbooks is gaining momentum. All computer manufacturers have released at least a pair of models, but in spite of the seeming diversity, all of them are virtually identical. Nevertheless, there are a few things on which we should pay attention.

1. The size of the screen. Dimensions themselves netbooks are almost identical, but the screen size may vary. Now the market can still be found models with 7, 9 and 10-inch screen. The most common size is 10.2 inches and a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels.

2. Kind of drive. In the netbooks you can find a traditional hard drive (more expensive, but more inclusive - up to 250 GB) or flash memory solid-state drive (cheaper, but less capacity - up to 64 GB). Flash memory, compared with less power-consuming hard drive, and this netbook will work longer. Typically, these drives installed on netbooks running Linux, which is less demanding on resources. The volume of the hard drive for the netbook is not critical to daily work enough, and 10 GB.

3. Operating System. On netbooks establish any OS based on Linux, or Windows XP or Windows Vista. Linux - a free system, so it netbooks are cheaper. On the other hand, nothing prevents you to change the operating system after purchase.

4. Runtimes. Depending on the battery, which comes complete, netbook will run from 5 to 12 hours. Needless to say, the battery can always be purchased separately.
